Is there anything better than soft breadsticks that just melt in your mouth? These are perfect for dipping into soup, serving with salad or just stuffing your face with them. We guarantee your whole family will enjoy these tender breadsticks.
I grew up in a big city but always dreamed about becoming a small town girl, due to my uncle’s twice-removed cousin’s mother-in-law who would tell me stories of her town. There was a small pie shop there that she loved and always spoke about fondly. I would imagine owning my own pie shop and waking up in the early morning to bake and experiment with new recipes, such as kale avocado spinach pie, and blueberry chicken cheese. Mmmmmm!
My Mom always had the best advice. She would always tell me, “little one, if you leave legos on the floor someone is bound to step on them.” She also had a dream of opening a pie shop in her small town but ended up baking cakes in the big city instead. Now I’m a writer for this website. Anyway, here’s the recipe for breadsticks.

Whisk together and add oil, salt, baking powder and yogurt.

Stir in the rest of the flour and place the dough onto a floured surface.
Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Return the dough into the bowl and coat it with oil.

Cover the bowl with a clean rag and let rise for 30min.
Press the dough down and place it on a floured surface once again.
Cut the dough into 9 pieces and roll them into balls.
Leave them on a flat surface and cover them with a clean rag for about 10 mins.
Preheat your oven to 390°F.

Roll out each ball and mold them into thin rectangles, roughly 8” x 2”.
Slowly roll the dough into stick-like shapes.
Place the breadsticks on an oil coated baking tray.
Repeat the same process with the rest of the dough.
Obsessedly Staff
Place the baking tray with breadsticks into a preheated oven at 390°F.
Bake for 10min.
In the meantime, make the breadstick topping by mixing the water, salt and flour in the amounts listed above.
Take out the breadsticks from the oven and brush the sticks with the topping mix.
Increase the oven temperature to 440°F and return the breadsticks into the oven.
Bake for an additional 10 mins.
Enjoy!
